With these new Right-to-Vote laws now having been enacted, will I be able to vote once for each government ID that I have? (I’m white and scrub-up good.)

  2. Flatus says:

Fun appearance, Craig. I didn’t see the women’s archery, but I am glad the Korean women won because, since ancient times, it has been the warrior skill which they practiced and excelled in combat.

  4. Ignoble exChamp says:

    “so sue me” -Renee

There are too many lawyers around these parts to be joking around like that, Renee. Especially with the economy the way it is.

  5. Ignoble exChamp says:

“I am glad the Korean women won” -Flatus

There are Koreans in the Olympics?! Based on NBC’s coverage, I would have thought the only athletes participating this year were Americans.

  6. RebelliousRenee says:

IMO, there’s too much whining going on about Jordyn Wieber not making the all around. She’s not automatically entitled to anything just because she’s World Champ and fan favorite. She flubbed and as a long time sports fan… well… that’s sports.

As for the rule… it’s been a rule a long time and everyone knew it before competing. It’s there because the IOC wants to encourage other countries to develop a gymnastics program. If only the best competed… there’d be only 5-6 countries represented.

And lastly…. no one complained about this rule when the Soviets and Romanians dominated the sport. It allowed 2 Americans to compete and attain much higher standings than they would have without the rule.

    just my 2cents….

  7. Katherine Graham Cracker says:

Mr. Cracker and I are enjoying this quadrennial orgy of sports chauvinism. We always learn a lot. I had no idea there were professional water polo players.

As usual the American media is focused on the agony of defeat. As RR said more time on the downfall of the supposed gym queen then on the woman who just participated in her fifth olympics and won gold
Kimberly Rhode Skeet Shooting and medals in all the others

And in the couch potato olympics we like to think of ourselves as yukon golds

  8. Flatus says:

The USA women’s gymnastic team? I listen to them spouting about being the best of friends, etc. Then, why am I left with the feeling that they’re really more like the Jackson family?

  9. Billy Bova says:

So far I see where we are in a dead-heat with china for total number of medals, although they are ahead of us in gold medals. Soon, Mitt Romney will explain to the rest of the world that the United States and China are winning the Olympic competition because we have a better “culture” than the rest! Has anyone checked the Palestinian medal count?

  10. Flatus says:

But, Billy, on a population adjusted basis, we’re beating the world’s butt…or has anyone checked Liechtenstein?

  11. xrepublican says:

    1. The oh,limbics are better with the sound turned off.

    2. I look forward to witnessing the Olympic Class Gaffe that Mr. Bova’s predicts willard will deliver.

Now that slick willie has rated Israeli socialist medicine as superior to US medicine, I want to hear him rate marxist-maoist athletics as superior to free enterprise Korean and Mexican athletics.

  12. xrepublican says:

    Flatus,

Hmmmm. Do you mean the dysfunctional Jesse Jackson family or the dysfunctional Michael Jackson family ?

    Inquiring minds want the dirt.

  13. RebelliousRenee says:

I do feel sorry for Wieber…. she’s young and it’s a tough lesson to learn that no matter how good you are in one competition… you can always lose in another.

but her coach is an ass, IMO…. he’s teaching how to lose ungraciously…

  14. xrepublican says:

    Thumbs Up for Kimberly Rhode.

I’ll bet she didn’t have a beer before goin’ huntin’.

  15. Flatus says:

Oh, I meant the Michael Jackson family.

  16. xrepublican says:

On a lighter note, dict cheney is goin’ fission, rather than going convenional.

If we’re lucky, he’ll pull a Colby. If we’re luckier, he’ll go fission w/scaley, mistake the latter for a bucket of chum, and then pull a Colby.

If we’re luckiest, they’ll take kennedy along with, and cheney will find a second bucket of chum.

This here good ole city boy can hope now, can’t he ?

  17. xrepublican says:

    Jace,

Re effectuality : Okay. oh,bummer got lucky once.

And, ya, if it had been dict cheney, he’d have shot the Navy Seals, mistaking them for a covey of quail.

And, if it had been willard, he’d have said, “I know all about these things, I’ve hunted rabbits and rodent varmints all my life.” Then he’d promptly put “ten thousand on bin ladin.”

  18. xrepublican says:

We Need Vote Suppression Because Dead Puguglicans Vote From Taegan Goddard :

Candidate Quits After Reports of Dead Companion Still Voting
John Enright (R), a candidate for Pinal County supervisor candidate, “has withdrawn from the race in the wake of voter-fraud allegations involving a former companion who, records show, has continued to vote by absentee ballot in the five years since her death,” the Arizona Republic reports.

The woman, Sheila Nassar — whom Enright described as his “life companion” — lived with Enright at the time of her death.

  19. xrepublican says:

I guess everyone is off watching the ads.

I saw that twisted skunk gallagher on a geico ad.

I sure hope the skunk doesn’t find out that the lizard is gay.

  20. Katherine Graham Cracker says:

The woman, Sheila Nassar — whom Enright described as his “life companion” — lived with Enright at the time of her death.

I’m sure he just did it to keep her memory alive

Geez…now gore Vidal has died…age 86. This has been an incredibly painful year for the loss of good people, both famous and not.

Last words spoken by Osama bin Laden,”That Obama sure is ineffectual.”

    Jace,
Not the kinda “Hope and Change” i was hoping for! I understand though, Dems need something to hold onto( rah rah)..Oh and he’s so “macho” too, until it comes to standing up to Republican’s, Rolls Eyes
    Obama “ineffectual”, most defiantly, imo…

  23. Bear says:

    Hey Craig,

The next time you’re on TV, could you please pick up the line of question regarding Romney going to Poland in order to get the support of a former iron worker and union leader?

I Romney really outsourcing his search for labor union support too? lol

  24. Ignoble exChamp says:

The Summer Games are rather pornographic, no? That’s why I prefer the Winter Games: Athletes in parkas and snow-pants don’t make me feel like such an out-of-shape loser.

  25. Ignoble exChamp says:

That said, I would prefer the women’s beach volleyball teams weren’t wearing scuba gear.

  26. So long Gore Vidal. Miss ya already.

I never miss a chance to have sex or appear on television.

Drove up to st Louis to catch the boat couple weeks ago ,everything from memphis south look fine ,north of there didn’t look good , but had a littl rain since ,
Maybe to little to late though

  32. mqw says:

40 percent of the corn crop goes to ethanol production ,
If our stupid government would legalize hemp , farmers could grow that in between food crops for ethanol ,
It’s just a effing weed ,don’t have to do anything to grow it , in fact it’s hard to get it not to grow ,
Oh heck never mind that would make to much sense
