Where is our FDR? When our country needs one most, he is missing. Yet, we sure find in abundance those ‘Anarchists in Expensive Suits’ who are certain everything will be okay without a government.

  2. Jamie White says:

Interesting to read the back and forth comments about the Ryan marathon time Who knew Runners World was a liberal rag?

  3. whskyjack says:

he thinks the U.S. military should withdraw from the Middle East and said the government should consider defense spending cuts, as well as possible tax increases to get its fiscal house in order.

    Guess who

    Jack

  4. whskyjack says:

btw, I think that is the second republican this week, out side of the conventioniers that is starting to talk sense.
    A flying pig moment?

    Jack

  5. Tonyb says:

    The Republican promise…
“We will do all of them… and the most important of all… the doing of them will not cost anybody, anything.”

Now FDR, that was a man who could speak to chairs that were occupied!

I just had to login but I usually don’t have to. It wanted me to login on facebook, twitter, etc. Is this something new?

Dear Nemo, You feel guilty when you say something nice re O?
Respectfully, are you nuts? I’m wondering if maybe you feel no one responds when you do say something nice re O thata you are being foolish or irritating or naive, and others get exasperated. I suggest that beause that’s how I feel when no one responds to me. Please please believe me when I say that
hearing someone say nice things and express good reactions to O, that I am very very happy. I’m glad that people give him break and express confidence in him. I hope enough people feel that way that mitt falls. I have never heard anyone here say anything that should make then feel guilty, least of all you. You must continue to espress yourself -- it is necessary for this place to honest reactions and some hope!!!

I must confess that some of my un-ease is due to the feeling that voters have the sense that O had his chance and now give mutt his, and if he fails, we can elect someone else then. That worries me because in four years mitt, with a good congress can change this country forever. O did not have four years -- a crazy group managed to cause enough unrest to make it impossible for O to do anything. That crazy group now is pushing mitt, and they are the ones who will be in power if mitt wins. Power is not easily described or recognized, especially in a place like dc. Power can be exchanged or sold or stolen or simply granted. If the people of this country grant their power to mitt, they will never get it back. Mitt has not given anyone any idea of what he plans to do, because he is a power player and does not want to be held responsible for any promises he makes. If called to answer for any act, all he has to say is that he promised to make things better and he will -- trust me -- but later. He haas given absolutely no reason to believe he is honest about money -- we can’t blame him if he cheats.

All he needs is a congress to pass his suggestions, a supreme court to say they’re okay, and crazies to keep telling him what to do.

Idon’t vote for a pol without having a pretty good idea of
where his power is drawn from and what his weaknesses are. I have no convictions that he is good or bad -- how can I?
He may be a devil, but if the devil is going to govern well and fairly, I’ll vote for the devil. I have no illusions about any of them. I vote to get the right things done, not because I believe in a man.

By the way, anybody agree that Bob McDonnell looks like JohnEdwards, who is a very good example of believing the man
    being dangerous.?

Also, Craig hs never said (as I remember) much avout his political convictions except that he can lean to that silly group…what are the…the ones who want to ditch regulations. Craig, your copy book is un-blotted, in my mind.

Apologies to all who are offended or grossed out or not-amused or bored. You sare now being saved by Inspector Lewis.

The Roosevelt clip was great. I loved it. Obama should incorporate it into his campaign, because nothing has changed. Then if he could just find his ‘Fala’ moment. Wink

  10. jace says:

This is how you bring it on. Wink

  11. bethyboo says:

Boy, oh boy…FDR and Harry. What a wicked wit and then a
wicked challenge. O should copy some of those lines, and remind voters who said them first.

  12. xrepublican says:

Am I the only one who finds it richly ironic that the most mechanical, scripted, and boring convention in history was spoiled by the undisciplined, unscripted (I think), and daffy gibberings of a confused old geezer? It’s just a good thing that he didn’t wet his pants -- or romney’s.

  13. xrepublican says:

I see Fakes News has PA, MI, NV, NM, & NH as undecided. That’s bATsHITcraZY. When do you supposen they’ll come clean with their viewers and tell ‘em that romney is toast ? At the last minute?
