Once more with feeling. Presidential wannabes are working the chicken dinner circuit hoping to pull our legs in Iowa, the Corn state that has cornered the market when it comes to attracting the political media’s attention.
The Des Moines Register: There will be visits this week by women who want a female president, men who want a Christian conservative president, and a Republican who wants a gay president.

In a speech that contrasted American and French revolutionary history, quoted Aristotle, villianized Hollywood, clubbed Democrats and chided Republicans in near-equal measure, Santorum lamented a decline in Christian cultural influence and a rise in dependence on government. He implored Iowa’s most die-hard Republicans to live their values and export them beyond the GOP fortress of their home counties.
