This summer I’ve been reading detective novels. I like to try to solve the mystery before the detective does, and I like the fact that the villain always gets caught, in the end. I’d like to ask all Trailmixers what they have been reading this summer, and why they chose it.
Nash 2.5 recommends:
Killing Floor, by Lee Child — Fictional hero Jack Reacher is the ultimate macho tough guy, a former military police investigator who wanders around the USA “off the grid” solving some really bizarre murders. This is the first book in the series.
The Black Box, by Michael Connelly — This is the most recent book in a long series featuring a detective named Hieronymus Bosch. It’s contemporary “film noir” set in a dark and disturbing Los Angeles.
